The Hyundai Alcazar an SUV, often referred to as the Creta’s elder sibling, has undergone a significant makeover for 2024. With a fresh design, a host of new features, and a segment-leading presence, the Alcazar is poised to make a strong impression.
Design
The Alcazar’s new design is instantly recognizable. Up front, the “H” shaped DRLs, connected LED lighting, and a large, new grille create a striking impression. The chunky front bumper and skid plate further enhance its rugged appeal to the SUV.
Moving to the side, you’ll notice the large wheel arches, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a sporty skid plate. The usable roof rails and panoramic glass panel add to its versatility. At the rear, the “H” pattern continues in the connected tail lights, and the silver bumper reinforces its rugged look.
Interior
Step inside the Alcazar, and you’ll find a familiar yet refined interior. The dual 10.25-inch screens, one for the digital instrument cluster and the other for infotainment, provide a modern and intuitive driving experience. The capacitive touch controls for the dual-zone A/C and the hidden wireless charger add to the convenience.
Dimension
While the overall design is new, the Alcazar retains its spacious dimensions. With a length of 4560mm, width of 1800mm, height of 1710mm, and a wheelbase of 2760mm, it offers ample room for passengers and cargo.
Performance
Under the hood, the Alcazar offers a choice of two engines: a 1.5L Turbo Petrol and a 1.5L Diesel. Both engines are paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the petrol also gets a 7-speed DCT and the diesel offers a 6-speed torque converter. The 1.5L Turbo Petrol delivers a power output of 160PS and 253NM torque, while the 1.5L Diesel produces 116PS and 250NM torque.
